That sucks brotha, I wonder if you have to by pushy to make them set a defense date. I think it would be horrible if that were the case and they were trying to rip you off. They promote the program as academia but then show it's true colors as a business. The sad reality is that in many cases grad students are just cattle to beef up a prof's resume.

my advisor seems like he is pushing me to get finished this summer (and I want to be) but i've heard from other students that he takes months and months to get revisions back. I am starting to worry a little bit that I will be in a similar situation :(. Hope you can get out soon
